I can't believe its been 4 years since opening the Hair Retreat in my garden! Its been fun and i feel I have achieved a lot. I've met so many lovely new customers and welcomed old ones back time and again. Thankyou all for being with me. On the 4th July (HR birthday) I held a coffee afternoon and held a raffle for my lovely clients. Lots of lovely prizes were donated thankyou ladies. We raised a total of £163.40 for Trallwm Farm animal sanctuary in South Wales. Lesley is a one woman band with her hands full, and she passes on her thanks to you all.
My mission at the Hair Retreat is to make you look good, to have your Best hair day every day. I want to use plant based natural products where I can. Now I want to add that I want you to be your best self too, inside and out!
I keep my training up to date, with hair techniques and products to be on trend as much as possible, and to give you the best experience in the salon as I can. To improve my offering and to help as many people as I can, this year I also completed my training to be an accredited Health and Wellbeing coach. I was inspired to do this based on my own experiences, and by how much it has helped me personally, to get through some tough times and to feel and be a better person.
Health and wellbeing is so important to us all. Without your health where are you? Health and wellbeing coaching helps you to step in to your best self, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I can coach you on diet and nutrition, weight management, stress management, mindfulness, lots of things. If you feel stuck at the moment in life i can help you move forward with where you want to go, making plans, help you to figure out what to do to get where you want to be, coaching, support, holding your hand to get you there. I am not a counselor, or a psychotherapist, I work with you on moving forwards and becoming your best self.
I start with a discovery appointment, you get a questionnaire beforehand to find out the information I need to help you. From this we have a chat about what you want to do, what you need help with and how you want to proceed. This can be in person here, on the phone or online via a platform such as Zoom. I do a coaching package of 6 sessions at a time, which you can have a think about after the discovery call to see if we are a good fit for each other, then you get a coaching agreement with an outline of what we will do together. Usually a session is every 2 weeks to enable you to put into place the steps you need to take and the habits you need to form. I coach in what is called a client-led way, we may change what we are doing as we go, depending on changes and progress. I have a new treatment in the salon. It is called Re:Bond and its bloody brilliant! It is a leave-in mask (don't worry I will still do the massage bit, you won't miss out!)which repairs, restores and renews the internal bond structures in your hair. Great for bleach damage, post chemical services or colouring, or to repair wear and tear from the environment or heat tools. So if you have post holiday hair, too much straightening has happened or your hair needs a pick me up, let me know you'd like to add Re:Bond on to your service. I have used it several times, including on my own hair, and its really magic! Its is just £5 per addition, or you can buy your very own bottle for £40.
My Tildie handmade range has also increased recently. I have added a rose geranium handcream, a lemon and teatree cuticle butter and a rosemary and castor oil scalp oil. All handmade by me, small batch, with no added nasties. I have testers in salon if you want to try and smell!! I will be making more peppermint headache balm and magic balm soon, stocks are limited until I make some more so pop in before it all goes! (until i make more that is)
I think that's all the new stuff for now, I have a new Keratin treatment coming but its under wraps for now!
